Abstract

In Caucasians, malar prominence has been identified as the oval face appearance and as the symbol of elegance as well as youth. Malar augmentation is a cosmetic facial contouring procedure using either synthetics or biologicals to increase malar/cheek bone prominence and balance an otherwise less defined face. In this chapter, we will discuss various methods used to improve the malar area in patients. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2021.
