Abstract

The Editor-in-Chief is issuing an editorial Expression of Concern for this article. During an investigation into concerns regarding this article, it came to the Editors attention that ethics approval from the ethics committee of Tehran University of Medical Sciences appears not to have been obtained until after participant recruitment had begun. The authors have stated that ethics approval was obtained from the participating hospital prior to recruitment of the first participants but have been unable to provide documentary evidence of this. The Editor-in-Chief therefore wishes to bring this to the attention of readers. Authors Mahsa Ghajarzadeh, Fateme Davari Tanha, Zahra Zandieh and Haleh Rahmanpour Zanjani disagree with this Editorial Expression of Concern. Author Ensieh Shahrokhe Tehraninejad did not respond to correspondence from the Publisher about this Editorial Expression of Concern.
