Abstract

What is the simplest form of consciousness? The goal of this paper is to provide a brief and clear answer to this question within the framework of the QBIT theory. The paper starts with insights from the studies on blindsight patients and ends by suggesting that consciousness at any given moment is decomposable to micro-conscious experiences which are the most basic elements of any form of consciousness. © The Author(s), under exclusive licence to Springer Nature B.V. 2026.
