Abstract

Folpet is a broad-spectrum fungicide that is used for agriculture and non-agriculture purposes. The presence of Folpet in water and soil is relatively low due to its rapid hydrolysis. Inhibition of oxidative enzymes is the primary mechanism of toxicity. This fungicide has low toxicity in short-term exposure to mammals, birds, and honey bees. Folpet causes duodenal tumors in rats which are unrelated to humans. © 2024 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
