Abstract

Pseudoaneurysm of the left ventricle (PALV) is a rare and life-threatening complication with a high mortality rate and usually requires urgent surgical intervention in most cases. Mitral valve replacement (MVR) is considered one of the cardiac surgeries that may lead to PALV because of several factors. We report a case of a rapidly growing large PALV that occurred post-MVR for rheumatic mitral valve disease with successful surgical treatment. © 2025 The Authors
