Abstract

Invasive Rasamsonia spp. infections are rare and usually associated with chronic granulomatous disease (CGD). We present a case of pulmonary and possible cerebral infection due to Rasamsonia argillacea in a girl with CGD receiving no primary antifungal prophylaxis. There was a fatal outcome despite the combination of antifungal therapy and surgical interventions. We also conducted a literature review on reported invasive Rasamsonia spp. infections in the setting of CGD. © 2020 Elsevier Masson SAS
