Abstract

External ear is a complex structure with multiple functions. Its embryologic origin, structure, and anatomical location make it a common site for some disorders. Here we review some visible disorders of external ear including developmental anomalies, infectious and inflammatory diseases, and diseases due to its specific location and excessive exposure to sun, traumatic injuries, and some benign and malignant conditions. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2022.
