Abstract

Imaging modalities are complementary to clinical examination in the orbital disorders for diagnosis and surgical approach. Most common orbital imaging techniques are Computed Tomography scan and Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Despite the rapid evolution of the technology and introduction of newer devices and techniques, basics of the imaging, remain the same. In this chapter, the basic findings of different orbital disorders in CT scan and MRI are noticed. Many of the common orbital disorders such as orbital mass lesions and orbital trauma are noted individually. Of course, there may exist so many pathologies that are not included in this chapter, specifically; but the tips coming through the chapter, makes it easy to interpret nearly any finding in the orbital imaging. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2021.
