Abstract

The authors regret any confusion caused by the initial authorship order of the article titled “Potential antibacterial activity and healing effect of topical administration of bone marrow and adipose mesenchymal stem cells encapsulated in collagen-fibrin hydrogel scaffold on full-thickness burn wound infection caused by Pseudomonas aeruginosa,” published in Burns, Volume 49, Issue 8, December 2023, Pages 1944–1957. Upon further review and mutual agreement, the authors wish to correct the authorship order to better reflect the contributions to the study based on the substantial input and original research conducted by Hamed Afkhami for his master's thesis. Accordingly, the revised order of authors should list Hamed Afkhami as the first author, followed by Maryam Mirshekar and other contributing authors as subsequently listed. This change aligns with the academic and ethical guidelines regarding authorship recognition and is endorsed by all co-authors and the head of the department where the research was conducted. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. © 2024 Elsevier Ltd and International Society of Burns Injuries
