Abstract

Sexual dysfunction is one of the common findings among chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients and can lead to a decline in sexual desire, fertility/potency, successful pregnancy, along with menorrhagia and occasionally, amenorrhoea. Successful kidney transplantation is an effective method to preserve sexual desire in both the sexes and to achieve successful pregnancy where reasonable planning can give favorable outcomes for both mother and embryo. This review summarizes some common reproductive alterations in men and women undergoing renal transplant. © 2022 Elsevier Espana, S.L.U.
