Abstract

5- Nitro-2-Furoic Acid is a compound of the furans family and acidic conditions such as sulfuric acid refluxing acid in ethanol and turning to its ethyl ester agent. This compound is suggested for investigational or industrial investigations, and the prohibition against use routinely in humans and animals. The most critical toxicities of 5- Nitro-2-Furoic Acid are hazardous effects in dermal, ophthalmic, digestive, and respiratory dysfunction during work in the laboratory or industries. It affected DNA breakage with low carcinogenicity, mutagenesis, and cellular mitogenesis. The most critical investigational studies hint that 5- Nitro-2-Furoic Acid has positive effects against Salmonella and Mycobacterium infections. It concluded that 5- Nitro-2-Furoic Acid must be used only for chemical laboratory work. © 2024 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
