Abstract

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), shows the lack of attention and focus and is the one of most prevalent cognitive disorder of childhood. There are many features of ADHD like inappropriate attention, impulsive behavior, and hyperactivity that could be caused by different brain connectivity in ADHD children. As the electroencephalogram (EEG) contain the information of brain activity, so it can be useful tool for differentiating brain activity of ADHD and Normal children. In this study we recorded EEG from 29 ADHD children and 20 normal children under predefined protocol and extracted fractality of EEG. At the next step, using graph coloring algorithm, the connectivity networks (as functional connected regions) of brain was extracted from fractality of EEG. The results showed there are some disconnection between frontal and occipital lobe in ADHD children that confirm the defect of anterior lobe in ADHD children. © 2022 IEEE.
