Abstract

In the following, we report a therapeutic challenge faced by reduction in corticosteroid therapeutic dosage in a patient diagnosed with Hashimoto's encephalopathy (HE), which is equivalent to corticosteroid-responsive encephalopathy related to autoimmune thyroiditis and often misdiagnosed as neuropsychiatric status. The patient developed psychiatric symptoms. © 2021 The Authors. Clinical Case Reports published by John Wiley & Sons Ltd.
