Abstract

FT-Raman Spectra of human dental enamel, both Laser-irradiated and untreated, are reported. Spectra are compared with hydroxyapatite. It is evident that unlike the CO2 laser, the Nd/YAG laser does not induce any chemical change in dental enamel.
