Abstract

Water-distilled essential oil from aerial parts of Lallemantia royleana (Benth. in Wall.) Benth., grown in Isfahan Province, Iran, was analysed by GC and GC-MS. Forty-six compounds, constituting 94.5% of the total components detected, were identified. Among them, verbenone (16.4%) and trans-carveol (9.8%) were the major components of the oil, which was obtained in 0.1% yield. Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
