Abstract

This Corrigendum relates to the above article. Post-publication, a reader raised a concern regarding a disconnect between the values stated in the text and those outlined in the study methodology. Following review by Elsevier’s Research Integrity & Publishing Ethics Team, the authors provide the following clarification. The study recruited 15 RRMS patients and 15 healthy controls in total, but the ROC analyses reported in Section 3.3 were performed using only the available valid cases for each comparison, rather than the full cohort. This was not stated explicitly in the original article. The corrected description is therefore as follows: The ROC analyses reported in Section 3.3 were based on 14 and 13 valid observations from 15 recruited participants in each group, rather than 15. This discrepancy was due to missing data from the remaining participants, which could not be retrospectively resolved because of the time that elapsed since data collection. This clarification does not affect the study's overall scientific conclusions. The authors apologise for any potential confusion caused by the omission of the abovementioned details. © 2026 Elsevier B.V.
