Abstract

Inspired by nature, properties of MXenes encompassing mechanical strength, flexibility, electrical conductivity, hygroscopic properties, photothermal conversion, and multiresponsive actuation can be improved, as exemplified by Wang et al.’s recent article in Matter describing their nacre-inspired construction of MXenes with flexible multiresponsive actuating potential for wearable human-machine interfacing. © 2022 Elsevier Inc.
