Abstract

The authors regret that the name of the Gram-positive bacterial strain was incorrectly reported in a few parts of the article. The correct Gram-positive bacterial strain used in the antibacterial experiments was Staphylococcus aureus, while Escherichia coli was used as the Gram-negative strain. Accordingly, in the Abstract, Section 2.6 (Antibacterial activity studies by agar disk-diffusion method), and the Conclusion, Bacillus subtilis (or B. subtilis) should be replaced with Staphylococcus aureus (or S. aureus, as appropriate). In Table 1, the column heading Streptococcus should be replaced with Staphylococcus aureus. The Table 1 caption already contains the correct name, Staphylococcus aureus. The Results section and Figure 8 caption already contain the correct name, Staphylococcus aureus. These corrections concern only the bacterial strain name and do not affect the original experimental data, results, or conclusions of the article.
