Abstract

The authors regret that several inadvertent errors appeared in the published article “Exploring the inhibitory properties of biflavonoids on α-glucosidase; computational and experimental approaches” (IJBIOMAC-D-23-05238R2). These inaccuracies include typographical errors, inconsistencies in units, and the inclusion of irrelevant references. The corrected details are as follows: 1. **Enzyme concentration unit (methods section and fig. 5):**The concentration of α-glucosidase should be consistently reported as “0.01 units/mL” throughout the manuscript, instead of “0.01 mg/mL”. 2. **Enzyme name (fig. 1 legend):**The enzyme name has been corrected from “α-glucosides” to “α-glucosidase”. 3. **Compound name (abstract):**The name “strychnobifone” should read “strychnobiflavone”. 4. **MD simulation units (results section):**RMSD/RMSF values have been standardized to “nm”. 5. **Incorrect software reference (reference [26]):**The irrelevant citation for “EarthCube data discovery studio” has been removed and replaced by the correct citation for “Discovery Studio V1.9”. 6. **Irrelevant references ([23] and [24]):**These references, unrelated to α-glucosidase binding site identification, have been removed and replaced with appropriate literature sources directly related to the binding pocket identification methodology. 7. **Introduction sentence clarification:**The statement has been revised to clarify that molecular docking is not an in vivo or in vitro method but rather a computational approach complementing these techniques. The authors confirm that these corrections do not affect the scientific conclusions of the study. The authors would like to apologies for any inconvenience caused. © 2026 Elsevier B.V.
