Abstract

In this work we report the design and synthesis of high-surface-area nanocatalysts by reaction between tripolyphosphate (TPP) and tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and then the complex ruthenium acetate anchored over the click modified ligand of fibrous phosphosilicate (FPS), forms a new highly efficient nano catalyst that shows excellent catalytic performance within CO2 reduction to formate under visible-light irradiation. The FPS/Ligand/Ru nanocatalyst was thoroughly characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectra (FTIR), Powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), and N2 adsorption/desorption study. © 2018 Elsevier B.V.
