Acquired B Characteristic in Two Irani Patients With Intestinal Obstruction

Abstract

Two cases of the patients with intestinal obstruction displaying an acquired B antigen characters are described. In both the cases acquired B featured with group AI phenotype. E. coli were isolated. The serological typing with polyspecific antisera suggested that they belonged to the pathological strain of 0114, 0124, 018, 0112. Follow-up study conducted after 3 months of surgery and recovery from of infection showed their blood group as A1.
