Abstract

This opinion first gives an overview of the different types of gut feelings in practice: clinicians' gut feeling, surgeons' gut feeling, and patients' gut feeling. It is then followed with the discussion on major obstacles to clinical intuition. © Springer Nature Switzerland AG 2019.
