Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of a group-foundation exercise schedule on the quality of life (QoL) and well-being in the elderly. In this study fifty elderly men and women aged 60 and older were included. Groupfoundation exercise schedule was administrated to the individuals for 12 weeks (3 times a week) at the rehabilitation unit. Outcome measures included a short form-36 (SF-36) and well-being questionnaires. The mean age of patients were 68.3 ± 5.8 years. Using group-foundation exercise schedule resulted improvement in the scores of QOL and wellbeing domains. We have shown that this exercise schedule is effective and suitable for older people. © Indian Society for Education and Environment (iSee).
