Abstract

Enzymes serve as natural catalysts and together with the advent of biotechnology have found extensive use in a wide variety of applications, including manufacturing, analysis, therapeutics, diagnostics, and environmental waste management. The relevant technological aspects of enzymes, including kinetics, protein engineering, production, immobilization, and applications, form the central themes of this section. © 2019 Elsevier B.V.
