Abstract

Introduction: The objective of the present report is to perform the first comprehensive bibliometric analysis of oncolytic virotherapy research publications. Methods: Scopus was employed as a major database. The total number of publications was found to be 4369, majorly comprising of research articles (n=2895) and reviews (1082). The ANOVA F-test and Welch F-tests were performed to determine the significance (P=0.05). Results: In all publications (3751), the total numbers of authors were 11418 and 10480 different organizations, departments or institutes. We specifically selected seven different viral strains and provided details about the co-authorship network. We also provided details about the top 10 most cited documents. Conclusion: This may provide a quantitative overview about the trends and publications in oncolytic virotherapy research. © 2023 The Author(s).
