Abstract

Due to recent regulations, other approaches should be developed as alternatives to limiting animal use in toxicity assessment. In-vitro and in-silico methods appear to be suitable options. Read across analysis; an in-silico technique is frequently used to forecast a chemical's unknown characteristic/toxicity using data from one or more related substances with the same feature. This resemblance can be shared functional groups, interaction mechanisms, regular and incremental evolution across categories, etc. The technique can be qualitative or quantitative, depending on the data presented. © 2024 Elsevier Inc.
