Abstract

Key Practitioner Messages: Iranian nurses can face difficulties in identifying and reporting suspected child abuse. Education can support Iranian nurses to identify and report suspected child abuse; learning from the government's approved Bill on the Protection of Children and Adolescents (PCA) and adhering to the PCA is therefore timely. The educational programme presented here showed promise in promoting nurses' knowledge and skills with respect to recognising and reporting child abuse in Iran. © 2021 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
