Abstract

Nutraceuticals, primarily composed of herbs, minerals, and nutritional supplements, play a significant role in preventing illnesses, addressing various issues, and improving the overall quality of life. A specific gene or mutation often indicates a predisposition for a particular health condition. This discovery has explored the interactions between natural components and the genome and their implications for health, disease susceptibility, and therapeutic outcomes. These approaches also aim to tailor treatments according to an individual's genetic profile and its impact on dietary needs. Many databases were searched for the keywords Nutrigenomics, Diet-Gene Interaction, Natural Products, and Diseases, and all studies with potential citations between 2000 and 2024 were reviewed. 2026, Bentham Science Publishers
