Abstract

Skin injuries are among the most common types of injuries that individuals commonly experience. One of the chief purposes in wound healing is restoration in the shortest time with the least side effects. Sadly, the present treatments could not fully resolve these fundamental challenges, resulting in insufficient medical success. The field of wound healing has witnessed the emergence of various nanotechnology and nano-based approaches as promising platforms, as indicated by the extensive body of published research in this area. Among different nanomaterials, metal nanoparticles, because of their wide range of anti-microbial features and quick efficiency with minimal dose are one of the choices of researchers for wound healing. Nevertheless, because their chemical synthesis is expensive, the biological synthesis of nanoparticles inexpensively and with little energy consumption is an alluring suggestion. Given that applying various plant components for biosynthesizing nanoparticles does not include any damaging chemicals, they are considered green technologies. Given the absence of any conclusive medicine for wound healing, it is crucial to conduct research on the impacts of green synthesized metal nanoparticles on cutaneous wound healing. Present work has reviewed the recent progresses in biosynthesized metal nanoparticles which ease wound healing. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
