Abstract

This Corrigendum relates to the above article. Post-publication, an investigation identified a concern around the authenticity of the following figures/image panels: Fig. 3 Panel A PLGA/PCL 50 days related to photographs of tissue morphology resulted in an issue that came from an error during figure choosing and assembly/preparation, which led to incorrect placement of image panels in the published Fig. 3. Fig. 5 Panel D related to Integrin-alpha -X staining of the PLGA/PCL/M13 Phage at day 50 and day 60 that shows CD11c-positive cells co-stained with integrin αX (green) and PI (red) and Fig. 5 Panel E (PLGA/PCL scaffold at day 35 and 50) MECA-positive cells co-stained with MECA (green) and PI (red) appear to did indeed come from the same raw data, and that the image duplication occurred due to errors in figure assembly. The authors would like to emphasize that this was an unintentional error, and all images within the panel were assembled transparently. The authors were requested to provide comments on these concerns, as well as the original unprocessed image files to aid investigation, and have clarified that the overlapping images come from the same raw data and that the image duplication occurred due to errors in figure assembly. The authors have provided the correct figures as below. Fig. 3. Fig. 5. Additionally, the authors omitted a statement in their article regarding ethical approval for the research presented in this publication, as required by the journal's policies. The authors confirm that ethical approval was obtained from Tarbiat Modares University for the research under the following reference number: IR.TMU.REC.1394.303. The authors apologize for this oversight. The journal apologizes that the oversight was not identified prior to publication. © 2026 The Authors.
