Abstract

This article has been retracted at the request of the Editor. Concerns regarding irrelevant citations in this article were raised on PubPeer (https://pubpeer.com/publications/EC61BD6762C411EE275AA3C52422DB). Following these concerns, the journal conducted an investigation, during which the authors were asked to provide an explanation. The Editor determined that the authors' response did not satisfactorily address the concerns raised. In addition, the Editor identified further problematic citations beyond those reported on PubPeer and concluded that the reviewers selected by the Guest Editor for the peer review process did not possess sufficient expertise in the subject area of the manuscript. All of the problematic citations were added at revision and were prompted by the reviewers of the manuscript. As a result, the Editor no longer has confidence in the reliability of the findings presented in the article and has decided to retract the article. The authors disagree with retraction and dispute the grounds for it. © 2026 The Author(s)
