Abstract

“This article has been retracted: please see Elsevier policy on Article Correction, Retraction and Removal (https://www.elsevier.com/about/policies-and-standards/article-withdrawal). This article has been retracted at the request of the Editors. Post-publication, an investigation conducted on behalf of the journal by Elsevier's Research Integrity & Publishing Ethics team, prompted by a PubPeer post, identified concerns around the following: The handling editor of this paper (Guilherme L. Dotto), was also listed as an author, which constitutes a serious breach of the journal's publishing policies. Furthermore there were issues with Fig. 3. XRD pattern of the LaFeO3-NPs: three of the peaks are missing the top halves of the peaks. The editors have determined that the integrity of the peer review process has been undermined, leading to a loss of confidence in the validity of the findings presented in the article, and made the decision to retract. Apologies are offered to the readers that this was not detected earlier.” © 2026 Elsevier Ltd.
