Abstract

The bladder is one of the organs of the urinary system with a bag-like shape, whose role is to collect urine resulting from kidney activity. The wall of the bladder is composed of muscle and connective tissue. When the kidneys are functioning properly, the bladder filters excess fluids and waste materials from the bloodstream and removes them from the body, thus preventing the accumulation of these materials in the body. In recent years, with the advancement of genetic science and the development of its clinical applications, the identification of the genetic effect on the prevention and treatment of diseases has attracted the attention of researchers. Paying attention to the role of genetics in some branches of urology, such as urological cancers, has a long history and has taken a more important place. © 2024 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
