Abstract

Transition metal-catalyzed transformations of bridged-ring bicyclic alkenes have emerged as an interesting area of synthetic chemistry in the last two decades. Due to their multiple points of reactivity, bicyclic alkenes, especially oxa/aza-bicyclic alkenes, can participate in a variety annulation/functionalization reactions catalyzed by transition metals. In this review, a wide range of transition metal-catalyzed C−H activation/addition of bicyclic alkenes with nucleophiles is described. © 2024 Wiley-VCH GmbH.
