Abstract

Medical science has been influenced by nanotechnology similar to other dimensions of human life. Nanotechnology has changed a lot, by affecting each step of encountering a disease. Nanotechnology plays an exceptional role in preventing, diagnosis, and treatment of various diseases. Parasitic species cause an excessive number of diseases and infections worldwide. Diagnosis is a vital step in controlling infections. Faster diagnosis will save time and provide flexibility for treatment and interventional approaches. Many diagnostic tests are available for parasitic-induced infection, which are mainly selected based on the patient’s clinical symptoms, medical condition, and travel history. In this chapter, we present the impression of nanotechnology toward a faster diagnosis of parasitic infections. © 2024 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
