Abstract

Dichloropropene is a pre-planting fumigant used for the management of nematode infection of plants. Volatilization is the primary pathway for disappearing from soil; subsequently, leaching into the surface and groundwater water is probable, and groundwater contamination is an issue. The acute toxicity of Dichloropropene is relatively low; it sensitizes skin and eyes. The liver is a primary organ in chronic animal experiments. This fumigant has been determined to be dangerous for Invertebrates. Using prophylactic cloths significantly reduces the severity of difficulty breathing, and wearing appropriate protective gear is highly recommended for the farmers. © 2024 Elsevier Inc.
